It is my responsibility and passion to oversee the development of our sales and estimating departments for all divisions of MVE Group. I provide guidance to our estimating team, oversee and foster the sales team, and ensure our marketing team is working hand in hand with those departments.
I received my Bachelor’s degree from Millersville University and started my career by selling mobile phones for Cellular One. I have worked in various sales positions over the years, and today enjoy being in a place where I can advise and mentor other sales people. It is a privilege for me to help foster the next generation of leadership here at MVE Group.
To me, the best part of working at MVE Group is the ‘family feel’ and team like atmosphere we possess; you don’t find that everywhere. I also enjoy the challenge of constantly staying informed on new trends and the ever changing technology in our industries. Outside of the office my personal interests include spending time with my wife and two daughters, boating, fishing and traveling.
I’ve had the privilege of working for MVE Group for over 16 years. I started as an electrician for Meadow Valley Electric, worked my way up to Service Manager and now handle business development and sales. The position is a good fit for me because I enjoy meeting new customers and showing existing customers new innovations.
We live in a world where technology is ever changing. My clients recognize that, but are so busy running their businesses they don’t always have time to stay on top of it themselves. I enjoy analyzing and testing new innovations and determining if they make sense for our customers. I won’t present a product to a customer unless it makes complete energy sense and financial sense for them. My top priority is meeting customer needs and finding a solution to their project that they are pleased with. When I’m not at work you can often find me fishing, boating, or enjoying other outdoor activities.
If you have any electrical projects, large or small, contact Mike. He can work with you on projects involving lighting design, infrared scanning, motor controls, parking lot lighting, and much more.
Thirty-nine years ago, I started Meadow Valley Electric out of the barn behind my house. Over the years it has been a joy to see the organization grow and expand into new technologies such as security, solar PV and more. After passing my role as President over to my business partner, Barry Miller, in 2011 I’ve continued to stay active in the organization.
Currently my role includes overseeing all of the residential and commercial solar systems. Renewable energy has been a passion of mine for many years, and the technology of converting sunshine into electricity is fascinating to me! I thoroughly enjoy helping individuals explore and determine whether solar PV is a fit for their home or business. I’m dedicated to finding our customers the best value without compromising quality or customer service. I encourage you to take a look at our Solar Project Portfolio and browse through pictures of a few of the jobs we’ve completed in the past two years.
After graduating from the University of Cincinnati, my background in sales began 35 years ago, with the last 21 of those years in technology sales. I was excited to join the team at MVE Group just over two years ago as their Security Sales Consultant and was drawn to the organization because of their reputation and quality. The responsibilities in my role include promoting ESCO Security’s products and services to both current and prospective customers. I enjoy listening to customer needs and helping them uncover the best plan for their intrusion, fire, surveillance, card access or paging systems. I am constantly looking for technology and applications which will set us apart from our competitors.
After an initial site visit with an individual, I always strive to provide them with a personalized proposal no later than three days after our meeting. For me the best part of working for MVE Group is the appreciation that everyone has for the importance of customers, and the flexibility to quickly adapt to customer requests and market conditions. When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my family, reading biographies and vacationing at the beach.
