July 15th is National Pet Fire Safety Day.

We know that your pets are family, too.  Of course, you want to keep them safe.  Since pets can’t easily escape a burning home, fire safety is very important. Here are three ways to keep your pets safe from fire:

  • Pet proof your home. Make sure stove knobs can’t be turned on by a pet’s nudging. Don’t leave an open flame unattended around your pets.
  • Let firefighters know how many pets are in your house with a pet safety window cling or sticker. Keep it up-to-date.
